The reworks on this record offered a chance to deepdive into the original songs. What appears when the piano disappears from the foreground?
A lot, as it turns out. Together with musicians like Elias Devoldere, Jonathan Bonny and Jolien Deley, I was able to explore many possibilities that were hidden in my music. I also asked befriended musicians Tom Soetaert (OUTER), Nele De Gussem (Uma Chine) and Klaas Tomme (Ides Moon) to do their thing with the songs. They managed to create a completely new world with the building blocks of the original songs. It has been incredibly inspiring to see these reworks come to live, and it will undoubtedly resonate in my future music for a long time to come.

This album will be released on 12/6/21 as a Record Store Day special edition of The Further We Ventured.
